Default Elixir Nano's for Electric

I like these strings for my arch-top. They retain more acoustic tone to my ears, than any brand I've used.
And they do their electric job well too.

Had 'em on a month. They still sound fresh.

Hi Lou,

I like Elixirs too, on both flat top and archtop guitars. They are my "go to" string. I may settle on something else for individual instruments, but I always start with them. Apparently, I have aggressive skin chemistry, and I can make some standard sets of phosphor bronze strings go dead in under two weeks, but Elixirs can last me up to a year. I find that the Elixirs add some sparkle and "zing" to the tone that I find satisfying.

I recently had a Dearmond type pickup installed on my archtop and the Elixirs certainly don't sound bad amplified, but they do suffer from the overly hot B string. I play acoustically a lot more often than plugged in, so I'm still trying to decide if I'll live with the hot B string when I plug in and compensate with the pick, or if I should try some other strings.

I'm surprised how much of my natural acoustic tone comes through,
even with the unwound "G". These are the strings I buy from now on
for my archtop.

Can you clarify which Elixir Nanos? The ones they make for acoustic guitars? Or the ones made for electric guitars?

Just bought a semi-hollow (non-archtop) electric. Like another poster I have toxic hands. (A superpower on other planets.) My music store recommends the light gauge "Elixir Nanoweb Electric Guitar Strings." I use Elixir acoustic Nanos on all my acoustics.

Electrics. I use .10's w/unwound 'G'. I have a big, deep arch-top. So there is a lot of acoustic tone to it.

Thanks for clarifying. I'll try these first on my new/old semi-hollow and see how it goes.
