Crossover options and thoughts please
I am in the market for a nylon crossover with a neck width of 48 mm. I had the chance to test drive an Alhambra crossover recently and very much liked the feel and sound unplugged. It was then suggested to me that I have a look at the Cervantes crossover which I am unable to try locally or conveniently. Plugging into an amp is not a necessity for me as I do not gig. If anyone has any thoughts how the Alhambra and Cervantes crossovers compare, and/or any other options I might consider in the $1-3K price range, I will be grateful for your insights. Cheers,

I don't own a crossover model as my classical was part of a custom run with a 640mm scale and a 48mm nut. But, I was in a local shop this weekend and played one of the Breedlove Pursuit crossover models. It has the 48mm nut, but has the 650mm scale. It was an excellent guitar, particularly at its price point. I have not researched it, but suspect it is an Asian Breedlove, but this particular one was excellent quality. I don't run across many crossovers locally but this one certainly was on par with one of the Taylor nylons I played a while back.

I will likely have my Cervantes Crossover in the classifieds here soon. It's the only nylon I have ever owned so I can't really advise.
