Default Tablet/notebook fanless recording rig

Hello. I want a portable fanless pc gadget for recording. I'd like to use my old familiar Samplitide application, and something like a Lavry AD11 for the front end. So, it's gotta be silent, run pc software, and be adaptable to an i/o solution if usb is not sufficient. Are we there yet - what's out there?

There is a problem with the idea of a PC/tablet hybrid. The on-board SSD drives are often far too small to load much music software on.
That is a problem you might run into. That is true of a lot of them. So it's one of the first spec's you should look at - drive capacity.
128G might be adequate. Some hybrids come with that stock.

I own a tablet notebook hybrid. It's an Acer Iconia W8.1. I've also seen and handled MS Surface Pro 3 tablets too. I own an iPad too.
But I actually record on my iPad.

Here is what's out there.

Thanks. I see now that it can be done as I see ssd in excess of 500g. I don't mind using it as a dedicated portable recording device only, and only keeping one or two projects at a time on it. However, maybe I'll wait a year or so due to price.

I'm doing this with a Surface Pro with a 128GB internal drive.

I've got Reaper installed and I'm also using EZ Drummer 2.

A Focusrite Scarlet I2I is my interface device.

Interesting. I'd love to be able to just walk into an acoustically interesting space with just a pair of SDC's, interface and a tablet.
