Default Who are the must-see acoustic guitarists touring right now?

Hi,

Which currently touring acoustic guitarists do you highly recommend seeing?

Thanks.

I don't know if he's touring at the moment but Bruce Cockburn is a great singer/songwriter and brilliant acoustic guitarist.

Sean Watkins' contributions on guitar and vocal were greatly enjoyed (as were the entire band) when I saw Nickel Creek last month on their new reunion tour 2014.

In the last several years, these shows have stood out:

Pat Donahue and Stephen Bennett
Frank Vignola
The California Guitar Trio
Doyle Dykes
Laurence Jubar

Heck - see as many as you can - at this level, they're all incredible!

Default best guitarists

Beppe Gambetta is back in the US this Fall, mostly out West. If you like flatpicking, he's one of the best. And the only one I've heard who does with a flatpick some of the things modern fingerpickers do. He has an amazingly varied repertoire, from Bluegrass, Mazurkas, Italian love songs, Appalachian fiddle tunes..... Plus, he is a very engaging person, whom audiences love at first sight.

This is good to hear. I'll have to check out his schedule. Thanks for the heads up.
