Sorry, but my first version of the song had some technical difficulties, but I've fixed them and you can listen to it here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAylkJKSwwo Incidentally, this is my first use of a Sanken CS-1E on a stationary boom positioned right over my head. Would be interested in any technical feedback about the sound quality as well as general comments. Thanks.

Your voice is really beautiful, very expressive and perfect for the song. I like the development of the song over time too. You start with a more open sense of time and then settle into a nice guitar rhythm. Inspirational- thanks!

If you ever make it to Concord NC, give me a ping. I'd love to have you come sing it in our church as a service closing song...just like that!

Hi Philly,

Very nice soulfull version of a great Gospel song.

I think you've achieved a little stronger vocal mix with this mic placement.

First, I'd like to thank you all for the kind words about my performance. They are much appreciated--this is a really helpful and friendly venue in which to have our work evaluated! And yes, Joe, if I do ever get down that way, maybe on the way to Florida one winter, I'd feel blessed to join in your service and I thank you for the invitation. Could you pm me with more specific information as to how to contact you should such be the case?

As to technical matters, I might add that I ran the Sanken CS-1E mike, (A very small seven inch shotgun) into a Beachtek DX-6 adaptor with phantom power and then into a Canon GL-2 camcorder. Afterwards processed the whole thing in IMovie. Thanks again for everything.

What a wonderful, heart-felt delivery!

A refreshing contrast to so many singers whose vocal technique gets in the way of their message.

Now, that's what I call singing. You sang from the heart, and I could feel the love for singing in your song, What a Friend. Thanks for sharing, made my day.
