Exclamation QC REJECTED Label on my Yamaha F310 Guitar Package

Hi Folks,

I've recently purchased an Yamaha F310 Guitar from an Online retailer.
While unboxing the Guitar I found a "QC REJECTED" label on the package.

However the Guitar seems okay, has No sign of damage, and sounds good but it's just that Quality Control Label that I'm worried about.

It'd be great if anybody here help me verify about the quality of my guitar based on the label (see attachment). Any such experience ?

Thanks.

Default QC REJECTED Label on my Yamaha F310 Guitar Package

I would question it from your retailer. It could be something minor, or not.

You might call Yamaha customer service in Buena Park CA. They are knowledgable and friendly.

I am interested in what you find out. Would this be comparable to a "Second" or would it be worse?

I have no idea what to think because I have never seen an item sold like that.

I would be hesitant to keep that ... unless I got a great deal or I would be able to get a DEEP discount. Why would I pay full price for an item that failed the manufacturer's quality control ... unless I received some incentives.

Does the serial # on the box match the serial # on your guitar? If so I would check with Yamaha and then dealer about warranty.

I've checked and the Serial on package as well as on Guitar matches.
I also contacted Yamaha India Support about the issue but they said they can't comment on it because Yamaha has never authorized any online retailer to sell their products.

However the retailer offered me for a replacement/Refund.

If it were me, and the retailer has offered me a full refund, I would take it as who knows what the issue was which got the guitar 'rejected' status.

I know Yamaha claims to be ahead of the times, but 3 years!

Here in India Yamaha only sell their products through authorized dealers (no online). That's what Yamaha India support told me after I emailed them about the issue. I was not aware of this.

You mean they're going to reject it in 2019? Who is the retailer?
