Sanzone Archtop Mandocello build thread
Really getting close on this instrument, a 16" oval hole cutaway carved top mandocello. It has a one-piece sitka top from a doublebass set, and macassar ebony back & sides. Like most people, I am really inspired by Monteleone. This 'cello shows that influence, with a simple modern look. Inside, it has an asymetrical x-brace which is also a nod to John M. It's about a month out, and will be available for purchase when complete. Thanks for looking!

Is it a flat back?
It's hard to see the contours of the top. Is it a shallower arch than normal archtop guitars? Is there a recurve? |

Yes, archtop with flat back for more bass. Looking for a thunderous low C. Has recurve but it is not overly deep on this one. It's going to have a floating pickup too. Sorry about the huge pic files. Thanks for the comment,
