I stopped by Leo's shop today. AMAZING guy. The guitar is strung up, but the final setup has not been done, so there are no nut slots and saddle slots . . . so the action is probably 0.150-0.170".

However, I can say without equivocation, that this is one amazing guitar. Very fast response, big volume, and huge bass. Even Leo was a bit surprised by the volume, I think. And it is DROP . . . DEAD . . . GORGEOUS in person. Flawlessly executed. I very much enjoyed my time there.

I played this guitar extensively at SBAIC. One of my favorite at the show for sure. Huge bass, lovely mids and trebles. A very balanced guitar. And of course exquisitely beautiful. I was especially impressed by the complexity in the mid range and high notes. The upper mids were clear as a bell. The tone was on the dry side of the spectrum, but tremendously sophisticated with a wonderful musicality. I expect as the adi-topped guitar ages that notes will bloom even more than they already do. There will be no shortage of power and glorious tone. A total masterpiece, Leo! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I was lucky enough to play this guitar again in the quiet of Leo's living room. Although I left SBAIC with a favorable impression, I was really blown away by this guitar in a room that had some acoustic feedback (and without the ambient noise of the show). The red spruce really adds a ton of great volume and complexity. I don't think this guitar has a ton of hours on it yet, but the mids, upper mids, and trebles already shimmer like a red spruce guitar that has been broken in.

I also noticed that the neck profile is a wonderful medium C and was very easy to play. This guitar is going to make someone very happy.

I was so impressed by Leo's work that I commissioned my own Buendia.

Really stunning. Was this available for purchase at SBAIC, or was it a commissioned build?

Great! Anyone want to rob a bank with me? Josh, Juston and I would be found out. What about some unassuming custom shop members?

Having spent some time over the past few days with this instrument, I can honestly say that she sounds and plays as good as (if not better than) she looks. Many thanks to Leo for building such an absolutely fantastic, well rounded, jaw dropping instrument. I don't think there is a single thing I would change with the instrument if I were having it built from scratch.

congrats! I didn't get to play her much, but man what an incredible guitar! And Leo's a pretty awesome guy to just hang out and talk to. A Cali trip may be in my future....
