My #1 electric of any I've ever owned. It's a 1960 Harmony Meteor and I just can't get enough of the TONE those old DeArmond Gold Foil pups deliver!

On Buddy Holly's birthday, I pull out this '92 VRI Strat autographed for me by Peggy Sue:

My amp is a 1972 Fender Deluxe Reverb:

My Pedals:

TONE CITY!!!!

Great gear! What speakers are in the cab? Do you use any pedals to boost the amp (gain)?

A proper Firebird - what a great looking guitar.

The reverse ones look awful. About as much style as a Pontiac Aztec.

Talk about memories - most of the kids at the music school I attended got one of these as his/her first electric; I wonder how many survived...

That is a "reverse" Firebird (lower cutaway horn longer than the upper); it's the post-1965 slab-bodied, "non-reverse" models that look like turds on toast - as did the Pontiac Aztek my brother-in-law owned a few years ago...

Thanks for the correction, Steve - I wasn't quite sure when I posted that. I assumed that the original would be the standard, and the flipped monstrosity the 'reverse.'

The cab has one greenback and one gold back. The Marshall was modded by Dave bray, it has plenty of gain. The firebird is a bicentennial firebird with a Seymour Duncan custom shop bridge pickup wound to e
SH-4 specks . It will melt your face off!

Guitar + Cable + Amp = Noise.

That's pretty much the extent of my imagination.

Electricity comes into the equation somewhere along the line... Not real sure how that works...

It has something to do with ohms, and a tickle when you touch the wires.

What a great, simple, way to put it. I'll add the footnote to this: "Some noise is better than others".

Here's a newer picture of my rig so Dru doesn't think I just post the same picture again and again.

The phone rang and was out of range of my coily cable. I thought the result of my haste looked cool.

LOL. It's still a great pic Tom! Is that a Boss TU-2? I have it on my pedal board.

Love your rig Dru, you have some sweet gear! As I've gotten older and gone back to solo acoustic, I've sold off or passed on a bunch of guitars & gear to my sons. However, here is my most recent rig that I set up for my son Caleb. He also has a tobacco burst LP copy that he gigs with not seen here:

He has an eclectic group of influences from Bob Marley to Jeff Beck and Optimus Prime...that's the metal side of him. ...of course daddy had a little bit to do with first two.
