Sorry for your pain, your loss. Reading this thread has helped me with the loss of my parents, my Mom was days shy of her 90th, Dad died the day before his 74th. It's a good thing you shared. Take care, I'm sure some of us are in tears for yours.

Sorry for your loss. My mom died 5 years ago, and I still miss her. However, as has been mentioned, your memories keep her alive.

My mom had the most amazing voice; she did not stop touring until she was almost 80. She sang in the local choir until she died at 87. I sometimes go to the local church and listen - hearing an echo of her. The last time she came out west to visit I took her to church and had the jaw dropping experience of hearing her sing. I had forgotten what an astounding voice she had. It sent chills down my spine.

Somewhere in your memories is a similar echo. You will find it and feel both the ache and the joy. All the best to you and your family.

Sorry to hear that news. Sounds like she was a positive person and lived a long life. I'm sure you have lots of great memories and stories of her to help with the grieving.

Lost my mom last year to Alzheimer's. It was a long journey, but her funeral was more a celebration of her life. My brother and my sisters and I all played and sang several of her favorite hymns. Everyone was singing along and telling stories about mom. She gave me my love of music, so she is always with me when I'm playing and singing.

Live by her example!

Don't forget there are some great people here. Reach out if you feel the desire. Be strong.
