Haha, I consider myself to be one of those "electric guys". I loved watching Jason's rig because a lot of what he is discussing relates to my gear. It's cool to see a professional discussing their rig in such detail though.

They are running compression on the sound board. That's why it sounds so even. No doubt you can get it by being a good strummer but that's definitely compression.
