do you think the sunburst or the. d6-8 are powerful
enough to be used as a monitor in an acoustic band. Just as a monitor for one persons mix? We use 2 k10 and an ev sub as FOH. |

I’m not sure. My ears are so damaged at this point that I do everything I can to keep the volumes as low as possible and the sound as clean and free from distortion as I can. In this context the sound of the Elite Acoustics D6-8 is perfect, but even in my living room if I turn it up really loud I can hear some distortion. This makes me worry about it being sufficient in a band context. I stopped playing in bands for this reason and that’s why I do the acoustic and jazzbox fingerstyle accompaniment thing exclusively now. Both the EAE and Sunburst Gear systems are exclusively low volume systems. What is unique about them is just how good you can make low to mid volume playing and singing sound. Just lush, clear and so well balanced. It goes as loud as I want it to now absolutely beautifully, but it would have totally would have crumbled at the volumes I used to play in my band gigging days. |

one would think you could use the eq on your
ve8 to tweak the guitar and vocal channels on the sunburst. and you now have effects as well. my refurb m6br8 is due monday. |

Yeah, that’s exactly what it does. I have it going into the stereo channel so I still have 4 mono channels free. Unlike the D6-8, I don’t have reverb for guest singers or guitarists, but for $260, this is one heckuva good sounding system! |

well my refurb sunrise gear m6br8 amp came on Monday
all i can say is wow!! It's pretty good. better than the aer c60 over all.except for volume. but the sound is really nice. must be that plywood box. the bass response for a 5"plus speaker is better than the aers 8 inch. So far i am impressed. i mean for 260 dollars this is a buy.. I tried it with my ve8 as well and it worked extremely well. A big plus was how sweet the vocals sound. so far it's a keeper. I am going to try it up on a pole to see how much bass it loses. right now on the floor it sounds great. Last edited by varmonter; 03-07-2018 at 07:27 AM. |

Sunburst Gear M6BR8 B-stock on eBay
Now imagine that sound with just a touch more oomph and a mixer similar to a Bose T4S built in and you have the EAE D6-8!

The strengths of this amp are that it sounds exceptionally good at low volumes, it runs a really long time on a rechargeable battery, is a great bluetooth speaker and has lots of inputs.
It sounds incredibly good with my Boss VE8 on vocals and guitar which gives it the EQ and reverb options the amp is mixing. What doesn’t work well is just playing guitar and vocals with no external processor. There is no individual EQ on the different channels and I can get either a good vocal sound or a good guitar sound, but not both at the same time without external processing. |

no eq. i put mine on a pole and mounted it over my yorkville nx10c that is new as well. i used the main out on the back of the sunburst to run a line out to the yorkville (300 watts). then i used my felix to run guitar and mike signals to the ch 1andCh 2 on the m6br8. man did that sound sweet. This may be my new small club pa system. basically the felix was my mixing board.. |
