Default Cheapest Neck ever

Never heard of em and no reviews but for the price …what the heck
30 bucks with amazon rewards figure it would be a good platform to practice some fret work and/or fret jobs. Can always use it as kindling if it is pure garbage…..

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

what’s the cheapest neck you ever purchased and how did you like it.

I bought one of those guitarfetish necks a few years back. It was terrible.

I wonder if what you will receive here will look like the picture.

Into tapping? With Canadian Maple necks you can tap them and boil down syrup for your pancakes.

All part of the allure of a cheap-never-heard-of neck.

I think I bought an SX neck for $35 from Rondo... still sitting in my basement unused. It's actually pretty decent.

I have seen this description of this particular neck somewhere. (steel pipe wrapped in mahogany) Either Amazon or Aliexpress but reviews were not good.

However, I have purchased 3 cheap Chinese necks off Aliexpress and they have turned out to be very good. They give you dimensions except for neck thickness/profile and I did end up with a thicker neck but didn't mind it. You can expect to do some leveling and dealing with sharp fret ends which is what you want it for anyway.

For 30 bucks, go or it. You could likely find the same thing on Aliexpress for a lot less so you wouldn't be out much but would take longer to get. It will either be a practice piece or may turn out nice.

I put together a ebaycaster a couple years ago. The neck was a full gloss one piece “tiger maple” and the body is sycamore, very light weight. Completed the rig with a $15 Metallor brand pickup set from Amazon. The guitar is surprisingly fun to play, really clean sounding. All in under $200. The can of TV yellow nitro from stew mac was one of more expensive parts of the build.

The neck arrived almost a week ahead of schedule.
I’ll post pics if anyone wants….

I am pleasantly surprised by the feel, finish and quality of the wood. The truss rod functions as it should and the nut is actually well cut. Yep, The fret ends will slice some skin until dealt with, which is perfect for my purpose: practice my fret work.
Also, gonna route out some wood for a 70s style micro tilt disc. Gonna try it on a 1980 Strat body that’s been calling out to me for a neck

All in all, well worth the price.
