Default If You Won the Lottery, Would You Tell Anyone?

Something I certainly do think about here and there. Probably keep it hush hush to be honest.

People you never knew come out of the wood work asking for money, there are plenty of lottery winner horror stories on Google. I’d try to hide the lottery winnings as much as possible.

I've bought a system from here: http://www.moreaboutwinninglottery.com/ hopefully I am lucky enough to suffer from this problem!

I agree but the helicopter and landing pad on top my house might raise an eyebrow.

Here in Canada if you win the big national 649 lottery your name is mentioned on the radio, papers, your picture is taken, etc, so you can't keep it a secret. I think I would keep it under wraps for a month or two while I determined what I was going to do and then go claim the prize.

I'd tell as few as possible, but I would try to discretely determine if family/friends needed help then assist with a promise of secrecy.

Sheesh! What a pipe dream!!!

Yes - in this day and age of "information" and media whackos it's hard to keep anything under wraps.

For me, after the initial heart attack, since it's just me and Mom and Dad, I'd move us somewhere very nice where nobody knew us and live out the rest of my days there.

Well, they'd figure it out at work soon enough, because I'd finally start working on ONLY the things I thought were important and NOTHING else.

You see, I wouldn't quit, but they might fire me.

I would keep playing music for a job until the money ran out.

I would travel the first two years, only telling trusted friends and family where I am.
There are two charities that would find out, although through anonymous donations.
And try to keep it a secret for as long as I could from the general public.

I'd tell the family members that were getting an infusion of cash!
