Okay one more thing....Velcro for the pedal board....Sweetwater has a roll of Velcro like stuff for $20....should be enough to do my board. I want Velcro so I can interchange my pedals easily and quickly.

We have a joke about buying gear...when you buy something, the salesman says " What ?? You wanted it to work ?? Well then you have to buy this and you have to buy that...." It seems like there's no end of the stuff you have to buy to get something to work.

Me three, I have watched many of their videos. Not so much any "sound like" but their review and comparison videos.
While I typically do not like a much silly humor, I have come to accept their dry (I guess ) modern British fooling around. And I do think they actually are really good at the presentations they do.

Yep, they have the lead and rhythm parts down. Very good presentations.

Oooh...see, this is why I try to stay away from the EG part of the forum.

I love electrics. And electric basses as well, which was my main instrument for 20+ years.

But I have to stay away from them. For one thing, hand pain prevents me from playing bass anymore.

Although electrics are easier on my hands than acoustics, they just get my GAS going so much.

With an acoustic I can just grab it and play it. Nothing fancy. I don't even mess with pickups and such. If I ever began gigging again I'd probably just mic it

But with electrics I start getting into that mindset of...

"Well, I need a hollowbody rockabilly machine... I got a Tele but I NEED a Strat too!...Now I'm missing the nice creamy humbucker sound--gotta get a Les Paul!...Oh--I gotta try that pedal!...Man that amp looks so cool..I sure would like to try a Bigsby on this one...Hmmm-- wonder how good those new cables are...Time to try different gauge strings for a while..."

And on, and on.

It was cool when I had the money and space to do that and have electric guitars, basses, amps, pedals, etc. laying around everywhere, but now I'm content to let you young bucks do it. Or the old bucks who still have the space and money for it.

I figured do it while I can. If I was married, the little woman would be screaming at me for buying all this stuff....my ex girlfriends are probably having fits, because they are NOT getting my money.....hehehehe

Son of a .............now I just saw a video that demonstrated the BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor/Gate pedal....it cut out all the amp noise, hum, buzz etc...perfect for making nice clean quiet recordings. Had to have it....got a great buy on one in mint condition on eBay. There goes my budget....

I'm guessing by your user name that you own one or two nice Martins also.

Yes I've got two Martins, a D-18 and a D-35. Venturing into the electric guitar world has always interested me. I play out twice a week when I'm feeling good. It's just a volunteer senior center gig, but I'm making lots of musician friends. So this encourages me to build my home studio up.
