Default backbow neck help

Hi folks, new member, first post.
So I have a '65 Goya G-10 with a serious backbow. The strings sit on the frets. There is no trussrod so i am at a loss as to what to do. My only idea so far is to clamp it to something straight and apply some moist heat and hope for the best. Any advice is appreciated.

This should find its way over to the Build & Repair forum.

And in the meantime it might be helpful to give a bit more info such as whether the guitar has been without string tension for a long time, to what extent is the neck backbowed, and how much saddle is protruding from the slot in the bridge....

That's a viable technique for fixing such an unusual problem. I would probably pull all the frets out before doing that then re-slotting the frets so that the fret slots are wide and the frets just drop right in without force. Then glue the frets in.

Was the guitar refretted?
That may have caused the problem
