Those sound nice. I have been looking at the 11 string Asturias Alto Guitar on evilbay, it is tempting but the price is too high for me. I have an 8 course lute so I don't really need the alto guitar, though it sure would be easier to tune.

I picked up a Cordoba Mini a few months ago and am enjoying the heck out of it. Baritone uke body size, 1.96" nut width, tuned to standard guitar tuning with the new Aquila strings made for it. Great little travel guitar, but also fits well in uke jams. Kind of a hybrid of sorts. The Yamaha looks like it would be equally as fun!

Just got one. Around $75 in local Yamaha shop.
Thanks for posting, otherwise I probably wouldn't notice it...

I got a Gretsch Guitalele for a recent cruise of the Greek Islands. Absolutely fabulous for traveling. Light as a feather, nice padded backpack gig bag with front zip pocket for extra things like tuner, strings, phone charger... it has a cool vintage look, solid mahogany top, and a sound similar to a tenor uke.

Love it!

I've had one for a couple years and really enjoy it. The only issue I had was high action. The intonation would go sharp because of the string height. Once I shaved the nut and saddle it plays great.

I've had mine for a couple of years now....Sits by my easy chair and is great fun to fool around with.
Despite the small size, I've gotten pretty fluent with the little guy and work out chord-melody arangements and "classical-sounding" improvisations.

I also have a Cordoba "Cadete" 3/4-size guitar for more serious playing....I find the very wide nut of a standard classical too difficult. The Cordoba is closer to my semi-hollow electric.

How do gitaleles play with DADGAD?
Do the strings have enough tension or do they become too loose--intonation issues, etc?

I had one Yamaha GL1, was great, the intonation was not so great, but sended it to a tech and solved partially the problem.

Sold it and bought the Gretsch G9126 all hog, the sound way much better, intonation too(not 100%, but certainly playble) Still have to send it to a guitar tech to lower the strings(the intonation solution to the GL1 Yamaha)

Here in Brazil, the only Guitalele available on stores itīs the GL1, btw itīs hard to find good instruments, and even worts, impossible to find instruments that worth itīs price(original price+ taxs and more taxs)

Here is a link, me playing G9126 a beatles tune:
