Default Learning to lead

For me this has been some work.

I think I feel rhythm naturally. Chording through songs has seemed... like not work.

Starting this year I wanted to learn to lead and solo. I won’t lie, this is work.

Major, minor, and some mode patterns so far for some songs that I am interested in. Hitting chord tones, following the changes, and trying to make “music”.

And tone bends on my acoustic... aaargh.

I’ve tried my hand at a couple of solos at a two local jams with marginal success.

Not quitting on this but it’s work.

I’m looking hopefully for that “aha” moment.

Last week I started Toby Walker's solo lesson package;

http://www.tobywalkerslessons.com/le...r-soloing.html

''Doing more with less, the Blues''

There are three lesson plans; blues, country, and rock. The Blues lessons start with soloing with one note and then build from there. I'm up to four notes and ready to into the pentatonic scale.

Toby is a very good teacher and he makes it fun and easy to learn.
