Is there any update on the status of the AGF Christian CD ? Is it still in the works ? Are submissions
being accepted ?

thanks - Tom
It's still in the works, and submissions being accepted. Or at least they will be. We didnt' have enough by the deadline for the CD coming out now. Russ can give you the details, but don't give up on the Christian CD, it's just taking a bit longer.

Default Ordering with Visa

Thanks.
I was able to order one with my Visa card and it seemed to work fine. I did not have to sign on to Paypal.

WoW

The start of 19. Many Of One - Steve Reinthal. Is so beautiful. Doesnt sound super complex either, might be however. Listened to the sample about 10 times.... Going to have to purchase this when i get off work!

Did i read some where that some one was going to work on the tabs for these songs? i'd love to see them. If not i'm gona try to fiddle around the best i can with this song untill i produce something reasonable sounding.

Many thanks to our intrepid producers - it looks great!

Who's the handsome devil on the front cover, anyway? Maybe I should know, but you know we're all just faceless avatars around here...

I wondered the same, and checked out the artist info for everyone on the CD and presto, its Tim Howard.

Incidentally, I'm really looking forward to hearing the full version of his song "Just a Feeling", it sounds very cool!

From the soundclips, the standard of material seems to be very high, I'm still stunned I managed to sneak quietly in.

Wow -- $25 for USPS International Priority mail? I ship books that weight 2 lbs bu Int'l Priority all the time, and they cost a max of $11.35 to New Zealand. Maybe the Paypal Prefs should be checked ...

Default Wonderful job -- Commercial Quality in every way!

(Sorry, this is a duplicate to a post in Russ's Producer Notes thread, but I wanted to put in my two cents in both places!)

I am listening to my copy right now, and it is FANTASTIC!

Great eclectic selection of different styles and types.

Excellent sound quality and production.

Really nice "flow" to it!

I haven't tied down an absolute favorite yet (2nd time through the CD) ... but for the instrumentals, I really like Fran Guidry's "Kui Lima" -- sweet! For the vocals, I think Joe Barbieri's "Headin' North" stands out beautifully.

It's right up there with my favorite CD's, in every way.

Thanks again! --
Bill

I just ordered a copy. Thanks and congrats to all involved in the production of this project and making available at a reasonable cost. Although I'm not a huge fan of instrumental/fingerstyle guitar music, there's no question that the quality of the playing and recording is excellent.

Based only on the samples posted, my two personal favorites are the first two, both having a lot of commercial potential, IMO:

"Walls" - Wade Thurman
"Why We Fight" - Daniel Duncan (To my ear, this song has a Bare Naked Ladies vibe to it. That's a compliment!)

Thanks again, all!

I received mine today J.R. There's something for everyone on this CD. I can't imagine what you guys had to go through to narrow it down to these choices. The diversity in this forum is amazing. For those of you that are still thinking about getting one, just take a listen to some of the samples http://www.acousticgallery.com/index...e=agf-cd-vol-1. Some great guitar playing (and singing).
