The shape looks really cool. The guitar oozes with vintage vibe.

Default Kind Words

Everyone, thank you for the kind words. Steve, it was a pleasure meeting you as well, my festival experience was greatly enriched by making your acquaintance. I have been busy, and it has been a good feeling. This last year has been a crazy one, starting with the birth of my son Oliver, (who I watch 4 days a week) followed by the Fretboard Journal article (issue 29), and capped off with the 2013 HGF.
I ended up having the least available time ever at the exact moment when I had the most demand. I just got the first four into the curing stage, and I have had a chance to begin working on J.R.'s guitar.
I was so busy I missed this when it was first active, but I'll be here from now on, so any questions are welcome.

Great to see some build pics, J.R. Any idea on when you think it'll be in your hands?

Hi, Dru! Bevan said this should be finished around October 2014. Here's the latest pics... more progress on the bracing.

Nice JR..! If I were Bevan I'd have a hard time concentrating on guitars.. Frisco CO is a visual treat! This will be fun to watch.

Best,

Phil

FYI, there was/is a Big Hollow 00 build thread on AGF from summer/fall of 2012 here.

Lots of photos of the build process and some photos of the finished guitar at the very end.

Enjoy.

Very nice! That looks a lot like the guitar I played at Healdsburg. Here's the latest photos from Bevan. Finishing up the braces...
