My computer, and then also my image sharing account had a meltdown, and apparently the link to most of the build pictures don't work. I'll try to get them working again. Apologies!

Matt is building a brass body, slotted headstock reso for me at this very moment.
He's been extremely helpful with his advice. I plan on building one in the near future and it seems Matt doesn't have trade secrets. He's been very forthright with his suggestions. I can hardly sleep anticipating the arrival of the new reso. I'll post pics. |

Yes, welcome to the AGF from a fellow Mule enthusiast, I received my Deed last winter, a steel body slothead with National cone, no logo, no ebony fretboard markers, buffalo horn nut: couldn't be happier with the machine, and Matt was a pleasure to deal with, a man on a mission to produce the perfect acoustic/resonator sounding hybrid.
As Larry said, your brass body Mule sounds like a special animal and requires photos - and maybe a soundclip too! - when in your hands. And as a builder, have you seen Matt's Mule primers? Will this be your first guitar...first reso...both? |

Absolutely beautiful guitar, J. R. Have you ever posted any videos or sound clips of that bad boy?

That's a real beaut you have as well, drplayer. Matt only lives a couple of hours from me. I hope to make it to his shop sometime. The current wait for one of his mules is 17 months. I could be dead in 17 months! Well worth the wait I am sure (the guitar, not my demise).

So glad that this thread got revived. Beautiful song, J. R. and your Mule has a sweet side though I am sure it can growl, too! I love it when a hand crafted guitar finds the right set of hands and ears to bring out its voice. Inspiring! When I am in the market for a resonator, Mule will be the first I will check out.
Best, Jayne |

Thumbs up, indeed! Thanks for sharing. Only problem is it makes my Mule GAS even worse!
