Default Emerald X7 Arrival

Just received my Emerald X7 Artisan Amber.

(Through many attempts, stupid me was finally able to insert an image through photobucket.)

Here is a picture of my X7 showing the satin neck I requested.
I also had K&K mini pure installed.

Sean at Emerald Guitar was fantastic insuring I got exactly what I requested for my X7, and always answered my many emails promptly.

..

..
I'm not a fan of round wound strings (finger squeaks) so like all my acoustics, I installed a set of D'addario Chrome flat wounds on my X7 and I think it sounds great.

Oh, it's possible. You must be doing something just a bit wrong. I assume you're pasting the link between [img]link[/img] tags. Keep trying. I/we look forward to seeing your X7.

Trying to insert image of guitar from Flickr account but not sure if it's possible.

Also tried using photobucket to insert image of guitar, still doesn't seem to work.
Surely, it has to be that the link you're copying from the photo hosting site is for some reason incorrect.

I just went to my photobucket account, selected a particular photo to get to its page, then under the "Share this photo" header and to the right of the word "Direct", I click on the URL, copy it, then paste into my posts here in-between the [img] [/img] tags. This works for me.

It can be tricky. I keep trying and do a preview post until I see the image in my preview before finally posting it to the forum.

For instance, I use Photobucket. I've noticed that when you copy /paste the URL from your image, the https part gets duplicated when bringing it to the forum window. You have to take extra care that the address in between the [IMG][/IMG] is exactly what is noted from your source site or it won't work.

Kind of a pain in the butt to figure out, but it's been my experience that, once you do, you won't forget and will be posting pictures all the time.

I would love to see pictures of your Emerald

You're right about the doubling of the url. To avoid that, I got into the habit of just typing the [img] [/img] tags.

Haha, ya got it! Nice to see your X7, especially with the satin neck variation. First time I've seen that. Enjoy...sure you will!

That is one gorgeous X7! And that neck . . . really stunning the way they did that keeping the body and headstock glossy.

Nice pics and lovely guitar.

Congratulations! I'd like to hear more about the tone when you can break yourself away from it.

My wife informed me that because of the small size of this X7 guitar, that it's just the right size for her, and that I should consider getting the larger sized x20 for myself.
What should I do ?

Now that I know how to post images of my (or maybe it's my wife's ) Emerald X7, here are a few more pictures.

First, go buy her a dozen roses, stat! Then get in touch with Emerald and get your X20 on order today. In the meantime, you can probably play her guitar to tide you over. My wife really likes her CA Cargo, and sold her GS Mini. She calls it the "mama bear" guitar - just right for her, but not so much for papa bear.

121;

It's obvious that your wife has discerning taste. I suspect you could order the X20 and then buy her some roses, maybe take her to dinner.

Default X7 - congrats!!

Hey, looks just like my new X20........but with a satin neck and slightly smaller...... a Mini-me if you will.

Congrats my friend. Yes, Sean and the folks at Emerald are over the top on customer service! I'm already thinking I'm going to order another X20 with the quilted maple top in GREEN!! Ooohhh, I think I'm excited!!

Again, congrats and enjoy the new guitar.

Jim
