Interesting. I just noticed that Elderly Instruments has a "Ca Guitars "Cargo HG" Acoustic/Electric Model, Carbon Burst Finish with Gigbag" on sale for $1299 (down from $1799) which is a mighty fine deal. There's also a Cargo in the Raw finish (my favorite) for $1199.

Earl I think you are correct. Just for curiosity I checked a few more places, like 8th Street Music and Musiczoo, both selling gloss cargo for 1299. I guess thats the new standard price! If you could get used to the short scale length, seems like the new price puts it in competitive territory with the Journey OF660, and the Emerald x7, for travel carbon fibers.
