Default Sold - AER Compact Mobile 2 - Excellent! $875.00 Shipped!

SOLD - Thanks all!

PRICE DROP - $975.00 (NOW $875.00!) SHIPPED. AER Compact Mobile 2 in excellent, used condition. I purchased this because it's the only portable, battery-powered solution to amplifying my acoustic guitars that sounds as good as my trusty Compact 60. It actually sounds better since there is absolutely no grit or hum from the mains, just pure, unadulterated, beautiful TONE!! I'm no longer playing at the venue where I needed it, probably used it a dozen times total, and can't afford to keep it at home, so here it is. $1075.00 (now $875.00) takes it and I pay all the shipping and PayPal fees. (CONUS only for shipping please, anywhere else to be negotiated. Stand not included)

Includes the padded cover, power cord and manual and it's in really nice cosmetic condition as well. Just by far the best sounding portable solution for acoustic guitar. Some info from the manufacturer below:

"Musicians often asked us for a system for acoustic instruments that provides AER sound and quality everywhere ... independent from the mains. This is exactly what the Compact Mobile has been developed for.

Based on the Compact 60, thus identical in sound, but with adapted technology and slightly changed dimensions. Whether you choose to play in the old town or on a glacier, the sound is always clear and omnipresent.

In case of insufficient battery power the intelligent power control gives a warning and saves you from lack of power during performance. Moreover it prevents the batteries from being completely exhausted."

Hi, I've always been interested in this amp but I'm a little worried about its age. Can the battery still last a while on a full charge? The manual says the battery has about a 5-year lifespan. Also, has it been stored charged up when not in use? Thanks!

The amp has never been stored with a discharged battery. I actually play through it regularly at home, but it's plugged into the mains when I do so the battery is kept at an optimal charge. The manual is very conservative in its estimates of battery life and I haven't had any problems playing for a couple of hours at a time, which is the most I do, but the low battery indicator doesn't even come on at the levels I play. Also, and very importantly, the battery is a very common one and Doug Young, who owns one of these, has spoken about this on these forums - here's his quote: "Incidently, you do have to be careful about maintaining the battery - keep it charged, or it will die. Fortunately, tho they don't tell you how, it's easy to change it yourself, and the battery is just the type of UPS battery they sell in many electronic stores."

I have the Oak Cabinet Compact 60 version of this amp, and it is pure quality all the way. A very good friend - who has a great ear - was really impressed with the overall transparency of the amp.

Always wanted the oak version. I might be afraid to take it to gigs though, it's so nice looking.
