Now at Heathrow Airport, ready to ship to the US. First update since Saturday... ya know, if I was keeping careful track.

Yep. And now it says: "Item forwarded to United States." Things happened pretty quick with my X7 once it got to that point. What part of the country are you in, JD (if you don't mind my asking)?

Looking forward to seeing that video of yours! Oh, and seeing my guitar, too.

Currently in Arizona. Our home is in south Texas. A carbon fiber guitar is good when we go from climate to climate.

Day 12 of the wait...

I go to the Post Office, only 4 miles away. Hopeful. (Sigh)

Now says: "Item received in United States."

With my X7, that was the last word I got before the slip appeared in our mail box.

Or, as the Blonde said: it just might mean it is somewhere in the United States.

Yeah, I'll be checking the PO Box in the morning. Again.

You'll look back on the anticipation and it will be worth every second. I look forward to your ship coming in.

Ship?? First JD, now you?? It is supposed to be on a plane. Well, first a truck, then another truck, then a plane. Another plane. Another truck. Then a conveyor belt. Probably another truck. Three countries, two continents, cross an ocean, cross America, then make its way to another Post Office. What's the hold up??

I know about this ship stuff (that whole captain thing).

What? Patient? Me? This is me being patient.

Yeah, I'm kidding. I have all the faith in the world that this will be a truly special instrument. The timing could not have been better with this Select Series. I am full of anticipation (some might say full of something else)... if I play up the "can't wait" thing, the Blonde gives me cookies.

Captain;

Don't forget to take a bathroom break and drink plenty of water so you don't get dehydrated during your watch. Don't fall asleep.

I drank plenty of water... yes on the bathroom break. Checked the Post Office twice today (early and late)... nope, and nope. When I checked the tracking, it came up as a smiley face like this...

That ain't right.

I did get two e-mails from Guitar Center and one from Sweetwater... and a friend request on Facebook... so, don't worry about me... I'll be fine... I'm just hangin' on the chainlink fence by the Post Office... waitin' for the next truck... not obsessing, though.

Day 13: I did get in a nap this afternoon. The pillow was wet when I woke up... Joan said I was crying in my sleep. Maybe I was drooling? TMI?
