Default My YouTube - Channel

Since July 2012, I have been putting videos of, mostly, mysef playing alone in my conservatory. (some feature Mando Bob and Mad-Dog Ian on bass).

I have used, I think three simple Zoom Q machines - no fx, no editing, no nutt'n - just me and the guitars.

According to my best estimations I have 119 Videos, and 183 subscribers.

My most popular video is my rather casual version of Magnolia Wind - by Guy Clark, uploaded in August 2012.

Apparently, last night, my total number of views clicked over the 50,000 mark, and currently stands at 50,069.

I know that a number of my friends here in the UK are amongst the subscribers, but I suspect that the majority of views might have been my friends on the ACOUSTIC GUITAR FORUM.

And for that ..... I thank you!

There is a certain irony that I've had a larger audience in my little conservatory, than on my many stage appearances over the years!

Thanks Again!

Best wishes , Jon

Nice, SillyM. Relaxing. You play and sing like you're comfortable in your own skin.

I like your videos, and also slot-head restringing videos were helpful too. Thanks for sharing.

That's great Silly. I just subscribed and I'll be listening later over the stereo.

Now for a serious question; is that a Pono that you are playing? It looks like it. I want one, but I'm afraid because I'd have to order it not only without playing it, but without ever playing or even seeing any Pono at all.

Reasons for wanting a DS-20

it's beautiful

it's unique

it sounds great over the web

they come from Haleiwa, Hi and I am a part owner in a house there. Unfortunately we never go there any more.

So, can you help my out in judging the Pono? What is it like to live with? Where does the tine fall? More like Martin or Taylor.

Thanks for your help. I'll be listening to your channel later.

Hi, I do not own a Pono. They are not readily available in the UK and I have not seen one.

I wonder if you are looking at this one :

This is a Santa Cruz "RS" (Roy Smeck). short scale deep body 12 fret jumbo.

The others are mostly Collings DS series.

Regards,

Andy
