The Thrill is Gone Lesson
Does anyone know of a DVD or video that teaches the whole BB King Song - The Thrill Is Gone? I see lots of partial videos or pieces of the solo but I am looking for a complete tutorial of the complete song to follow. Thank you to anyone who may be able to help...

Thanks for the suggestion. I have searched a bit already. Unfortunately, although there is some out there, it isn't very good. Sandercoe has a decent video that is okay I guess. I had used a Lick Library DVD on Santana that was outstanding (cheap too) and I was hoping that they had one for A Thrill Is Gone, but I didn't see it on their web site.

Have you considered transcribing it by yourself?

I don't know what, exactly, you want to do with the tune, but it is REALLY an easy song to sing and play... nothing fancy at all about the changes or the form of the tune... pretty straight-ahead minor blues form, to my ears.
The trick, of course, is to bring feeling, depth and emotion to it that is genuine and convincing... which B.B. does in spades! Even Jerry garcia and David Grisman had a great version of it, done in a more "swing" style... Just a thought, of course... good luck with the song; it's a great tune...

Amazon had several DVDs. I would look to see which one(s) you like. What is good for me might not be good for you...
