Default On a "wintry mix" day.....

A friend put up a post on Facebook requesting songs with "Rain" in them - fitting for this nasty day we are having (high 30's and rain/snow)

First song in my mind was Francis Dunnery's "Autumn The Rain Man" which is one of my all time faves. Since I wasn't exactly busy I decided to fire the recording gear up and try to pull it off. Hadn't played this one in a few years. Turn the volume slider up on the Box player before listening....

Todd -- this was really nice, really well done. I really enjoy hearing you sing!

Thanks Glenn - when I went back and listened to it, I wish I'd put some harmonies in, but it seems OK the way it is. Francis Dunnery's "Gulley Flats Boys" album is quite a masterpiece, and this is one of my favorite tunes from it.

That's my heavily modded Taylor DN3 - I've installed ports and shaved braces/bridge down. I'm using a new set of mics and may have had them a little too hot or close, but that guitar has guts now! (you may notice it's not for sale any longer!)

You did the work ? If so you know your stuff . Mics to hot or close nah depending what you mean by close maybe to high and pointing at the sound hole at least my guitars generate more lows like that . not saying it's an issue by any means as I can't say it sounds bassy so much as it sounds deep

Oh I never new it was for sale and I've only heard two Taylors I liked yours is one but I need to hear more if before I commit lol

Yes - much patience, many years and a really good ear mixed with a little crazy

I'm using a stereo pair - one pointed at the upper treble bout edge near the fingerboard and one toward the bridge - both about a foot away.

I've owned nearly 100 Taylors I'd guess, and none have turned me on like this one!
