I also love the song and just realized I have never played it. Have now fixed that!

Anyone that listened..

Does the Harmony on the chorus sound lame?

I used the TC Helicon Harmony GXT for "fun" .. Still trying to figure it out.

I'm no recording expert, not even sure what equipment you are talking about.

But I have been listening to records (oops) for a very long time, and it sounds real good to me!
