I've been putting in a little time now and then on these two....

Since the Mahogany is a experiment...I tried something new... put 1 coat of Zpoxy on and then sprayed 3 coats of laquer from a rattle can...

Started working on the neck as well.
The Thermally modifed top sure stands out...

I installed the herringbone and top binding on the Cocobolo...

Wow you work fast!

That coco is absolutely gorgeous. The chocolaty swirl looks so good I wand to eat it.

Not being a builder, I am hardly ever on this part of the forum but so glad I stumbled onto this thread. Nice builds. Love the tonewood combos and the overall vibe of these guitars. Thanks for posting and I look forward to seeing them finished and strung up.

Best,
Jayne

Haven't had alot of time to work on these...seems life got in the way for a while.

Neck on the Cocobolo is carved and almost fitted, should be done with that today. Haven't touched the Mahogany neck....

Also started making the bridge...found a fun chunk of Cocobolo that should work just fine.

After I got the neck on, I did the pretend it has strings, and pretended to play thing...I really like how this feels...How it just snuggles into your lap.

Have a gal coming over tomorrow to do the same thing...she's interested in buying it but wants to make sure if she likes how the neck feels..she has pretty small hands...I'm still at the stage I can modify it if she wants it....

Thanks for looking
Stu
