Default New stuff from Composite Acoustics!

They have a new web site up and info on new products whcih include a baritone guitar and a 12 string!!! Both are dread type shapes with offset soundholes. Arlo Guthrie was involved in the creation of the 12 string.

I didn't see the 12er on the site either, but it is shown here (page 10) under news - new product announcement.

I've been gassing for a Taylor T5. This CA 12 string is going to make it a tough decision. I love my 7i and would like to have a 12 that travels as well. Decisions, decisions....

Pretty sick sound.... Kinda makes me wonder about all this "tone wood" hype when you have plastic guitars that sound this amazing...

They are amazing. I can't even imagine what a full size CA 12 string will sound like or a Baritone for that matter. My 7iM-CE already sounds like a Bari in dropped D tunings!

I guess the tone wood hype would have to be that wooden guitars have a very "individual" sound with all the wood variations used compared to a very "consistant" sound with the Carbon guitars. I love my CA and will never shy from putting it's sound up against any wooden guitar but there is a beauty and craftsmanship with wood that's just not the same with Carbon but hey...it's a new technology so it will be interesting to see where they go with it.

I played one of these yesterday and could not believe my ears! These carbon fiber guitars sound amazing. The CA 12 string would be my first choice because it ALWAYS stays in tune!

I'd love to try one but there is no distributor in Britain. The Cargo looks and sounds especially inviting.

I let my neighbor borrow my cargo while she was home from college to play an open mike, and I haven't seen it since LOL. She loves it! I just hope she returns it before she goes back to school.

tone is amazing but they are NOT plastic. Carbon fiber is not a plastic. Much stronger and more rigid. you can take a thin sheet of cross weave carbon fiber and wrap a house in it and debri at over 150MPH will not penetrate it. now plastic can`t do that!!
