Default Rikki Don’t Lose That Number cover-tutorial

Hey guys, I’m sharing my COVER of Rikki Don’t Lose That Number, I’ve always like the tune and I got inspired to learn it after Dean Parks wet my appetite. Dean Parks played the acoustic rhythm on the original Steely Dan recording. I’d like your thoughts, my vocals aren’t as good as they used to be. Playing my Martin Om-35.

Wow. Always worth stretching and my being able to play this song will be a stretch but you have totally inspired me. The cover is fantastic and great tutorial. Thanks so much I’m gonna get to work.

Hey, this is GOOD. You have a really good voice. Guitar sounds fantastic. What a cool song, the progression takes some unexpected turns. I would have not thought of doing that song on acoustic, really like it!

Good job.
That’s a great song and not easy to cover, but you did it well.

Thanks for posting this, gibby. Really nice job all around and thanks for the tutorial. I’ve long wanted to learn this song. You’ve given me the impetus to do it. I’ve already started working on it.

Very nice! Would never have thought of playing it on acoustic guitar but obviously you showed it can be done!

Thanks for your feedback, I’ve been playing/singing this daily since recording it. My voice doesn’t quite perform as it did 25 yr ago.
Thanks, Ed

Actually, I was surprised to find an acoustic version of this song. Therefore, I decided to go with it. Thanks for your comment appreciated, Ed.
