Probably the best sounding guitar I have ever played was a cedar over BRW Ryan Nightingale. It was breathtaking!

I have to agree with Fsgeek and Carmel Cedar that the Ryan Nightingale would be my choice, too. I tell myself that I am not lusting after any more guitars, but the truth is, I still dream about a Ryan Nightingale.

Default choice

No choice for me - the Ryan. I have played one and it was as nearly a perfect guitar as i have ever played. Just outstanding in every way.

I played one@Healdburg back in 2013 that cost $32k and that is my only reference. I guess I could just buy it outright and have everything.

Hey there fellow Pentaxian. I'd vote for the Ryan too. Take and post pics with whatever you end up buying.

Used versions of Ryan Nightingale guitars go for $7500-$15,000, typically $10-12K it seems to me. There is one in the AGF Classifieds for, I think, $7,000. http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...highlight=Ryan

They are both great instruments, I've played 3 Tonare Grands and 5 Nightingales. I'd go for the Nightingale.

Post the photos on agf also to show the rest of us also. As a recent owner of a ryan nightingale, I can say you can never have too many photos of that guitar! (Photos of the tonare grand would be great also if you buy that in the end!)
