Looks like wild cherry like the wood on this La Patrie Etude.

That's pretty much it all right. It looks a bit too mild for bubinga, and that wood -- fun as it is to say -- was only used for a short time in the 2000s on J-100Xtra models. Others would likely know better than I, but there may have been bubinga used on a few examples of that model in the early '00s too.

Sorry, I missed the fact that the guitar was a J100 Xtra. As others have pointed out, these were made from bubinga or mahogany.
