Default One effects unit for electric and acoustic

I currently use a Boss VF-1 half rack for electric and acoustic sounds. I like that I can use one unit for both. This is an older unit, is there a effect unit that does electric effects and acoustic effects together well.
Thanks,
Steve

I'd look @ the Line6 PODx3L.

It's got some great electric tones & some pretty good mic pre simulations. It's a dual input system, so you could run both your electric and acoustic in and process each signal differently. You could then send out the signals separately or blend them and send to a PA/amp, etc.

I own and use the Vox Tonelab, POD XT Live, GNX4 and GNX3000. They all have their plus and minuses. But for both acoustic and electric, the POD XT live beats them hands down, no questions asked. The GNX4 and Tonelab have nothing for the acoustic guitar. Love 'em, but not for acoustic.

The GNX3000 can be setup for acoustic guitar applications, but it is a pain to dial in.

The POD XT Live has several presets that work great with acoustics right out of the box, and tweaking your own is very easy. Some of the POD XTL's variax settings (e.g., jumbo acoustic) work very well with acoustic guitars.

Lately however, I have been using the Zoom A2 for everything acoustic. And it is only $100. Not that I recommend exploiting the online retailers liberal return policies, but before you pull the trigger on something at 3x the cost, consider the A2 for your acoustic needs. If you don't like it, send it back for the do it all box.
