Default WTB Australia-froggy bottom/lowden/mcilroy/goodall/vintage martin/other boutiques

hi guys im just throwing it out there.

im looking to purchase a guitar from the following makers: froggy bottom, lowden, mcilroy, goodall or maybe a vintage 1950s martin in clean condition. im fairly flexible on makers but im not really looking for gibsonesque martinesque sound unless its vintage and older then 1960 and prefer a guitar from a well known luthier.

prefer 1 3/4 neck or less, 00 size and above but im open to all if its a good deal. also prefer exotic wood such as madagascar, brazilian, cocobolo ziricote etc but its not a must. i dont mind a bit of bruising on a guitar as long as the price reflects that and is structurally sound.

i live in brisbane, australia.

email me what you have and your price and we'll go from there.

thanks for viewing.

These guys in Perth carry a large stock of acoustics including Lowden amd McIlroy.

Buying from a seller in Australia will save you some money on shipping and Import Duty.

hi bruce. cheers for the heads up. ive stumbled on these guys before and had already decided that if im not successful here then i will look into their inventory. shipping and import is a bit ridiculous your right which is why id prefer an aussie seller. theres surprisingly quite a few aussies on this forum so we'll see how it goes.

oh and, bump..

I know you mentioned older Martins only but the J-41 Special listed here in the AGF classifieds is a nice looking, rare beast at a very fair price.
http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=392968
That's around the same price as a slightly lower spec used J-40.
The Martin J body is actually a 0000 size body with 4 7/8" dread body depth.
Also has the 1 3/4" neck you're looking for.

Actually the more I went looking at the prices being asked for used J-40's the more I see this J-41Special is a stunning buy. Nicer fret markers, headstock logo, trim and tuners and it's a limited edition.
