According to the manual you can use your Fastrack Pro as a standalone mic pre so you could try that approach for the cost of a couple of adapters. It looks like you'll need a couple of RCA plugs on one end and a 1/8" stereo plug on the other.

I've never tried any of the external inputs of my old Zoom recorder, but since I want to record both voice and guitar simultaneously, I'm not sure it would do the trick just with adapters - or perhaps I don't understand all of its capabilities.

It appears that some newer ZOOM recorders have two external inputs but I wonder if the create stereo tracks that could be extracted and post-processed.

Right now it seems to me that it would make more sense to replace my Fast Track with something one the order of a Presonus AudioBox or a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
