Strings for New Emerald X7 12 string
I am taking delivery of my new custom built Emerald X7 12 string any day now. I am wondering what strings to try on this unique guitar. Its all Carbon fiber, narrow neck, C shape, and I want to use strings that provide some of the bass end as well as the well known treble tones that 12 strings provide. Got any ideas or do you play a 12 string and love your strings you use.

I have the standard 6-string X7 and I prefer 80/20s on the carbon guitars as they reduce a bit of the metallic edge to the tone.

I am gonna hit on this thread even though it is a bit older as I am also looking for recommendations.
Right now I have Martin Silk & Steels on my X7 12 string and the add a little more bass, which i was looking for, however i also want to take off that metallic edge. Any particular 80/20's that you would recommend?

Dean Markley Vintage bronze sound pretty good on my X7-os. They are cheap so worth a try. (my favourite of strings I've tried on it)
