Marc Beneteau's guitars have been chosen by two time North American Fingerstyle Champion Don Ross, world renowned Celtic guitarist, Tony McManus as well as top players, Craig D’Andrea, David Gillis, Paul Asbell, Del Vezeau, and Ray Montford. He has been building guitars since 1974 after meeting Jean Larrivee.

“Since opening his first shop in 1974, Marc has been continuously refining his skills as an acoustic guitar builder. Working alone, not only is he responsible for the entire construction and finishing process, but also custom makes all his own purflings and bindings as well as processing (resawing) most of his tonewoods. Working this way may be more labour intensive, but it gives Marc total control over all aspects of design and construction, so necessary in the building of high quality instruments. “ Luthier’s Collection

“Every guitar is a challenge filled with variances and nuance. It is for this reason that I work alone, carefully ensuring the highest standards throughout every step of the way. “ - Marc Beneteau

I appreciate the comments. I've got mixed feelings about letting this one go. .

As a previous owner of this guitar I can attest that it is indeed very special.

Easy playing and a very rich tone. No way to go wrong here.

Jay is a great guy, deal in complete confidence.

Smile Beneteau

I talked with Marc not too long ago, and he mentioned to me that he really likes how his guitars sound with Honduran rosewood back and sides. It seemed to be a favorite tonewood of his.

I have a Beneteau Concert Standard with an Englemann spruce top, and the sound is beautiful for fingerstyle: open, resonant with a nice, complex woody tone. It's a keeper for me for sure.

Best of luck with the sale.

Honduran rosewood is very striking on this instrument. The Engelman soundboard sings out fantastically!

Hard to believe this is still unsold! These Beneteau 12 frets are outstanding! Someone will be happy...
Cheers!

Default Beneteau 000c 12 Fret

I have a Beneteau 000c, It is one guitar that is staying with me until either I can no longer play or I am expired! A Beneteau just keeps getting better and better as it ages.

This one being offered here is absolutely one of the best guitar deals on the AGF site right now, if not the absolute best deal sound, price and quality wise.

If you want a keeper, Get this and you will not want to let it go.

Tempting. Other than a friend's classical I can't remember playing a Beneteau 12 fret.
