Default FS: Greven LOOv- $2,850

2006 Greven L-00v Sitka Top (X-braced)/ Cuban Mahogany

The sides/back are rare Cuban mahogany and the top is made from Sitka spruce salvaged from the old Kalamazoo Gibson plant (dated to 1955).
From an early batch of LOO guitars- no label (date was from seller and confirmed by JG). The guitar is based upon Mary Flower's 1934 Gibson L-00. Amazing vintage Greven sunburst; beautiful Brazilian Fingerboard and Bridge.

1-13/16" nut width 2-1/4" bridge spacing 4-1/8" body depth. Very comfortable neck shape.

Amazing crisp sound, the real deal in an LOO! Vintage tone. Great playability and includes tweed TKL OHSC.

The nut and saddle are bone, and the bridge pins are ebony. It has a 24.895" scale, with a 1 13/16" nut, perfect for fingerpicking. There are videos of the L-00V on YouTube. You can read more about this instrument on Greven's website (grevenguitars.com).

John’s lowest price is now $4,200 with a year long waiting list. And unique to John (from his website): It is the guitar that has the warranty not the owner. So it transfers should the instrument be sold at a later date.

This L-00v is in excellent condition; recent professional set up and minor fret leveling by Todd Stock of Germantown, MD. Several small dings were also drop filled and are barely visible today.
No smoke no gigs; purchased several years ago from another forum member.

Pictures can be found at the following Craigslist address…please pm me for questions or additional information.

Shipping at cost within CONUS. No overseas shipping.

I’m in Laurel, Maryland. Thanks. Hank

Great looking guitar, and tailored for ragtime and blues! I'd have no excuse for not being able to sound like Mary Flower, except for not enough skill.

Wish I was in the market, but I've already got a Cuban Mahogany/spruce 15" bout guitar. Those woods are a great combination, and this seems like a very nice offering price. Good luck with the sale and I'm sure there will be a very pleased new owner.

I have a sister to this one. 50's Kalamazoo Sitka over Cuban. Awesome guitar, great price, someone will be thrilled. Mine's NL depth yet weighs dramatically less than any other. People ask me why I have 5 L-00' bodied guitars yet no actual 30's Gibson L-00 and it's simply because I haven yet found one that can match my Greven. (I know that makes no sense, but it's true!) Best of luck.
