What tuning?

Do you have fingernails, doesn't look like it. I am always intrigued with players who get good volume, yet use fingertips, not nails.
Hi Bill - thanks very much.

The guitar is a rosewood Brook Torridge hand built here in the UK http://www.brookguitars.com/index.html

The tuning is DADGAD. I keep my finger nails very short so mainly it is flesh that produces the tone.
