Default Baranik Guitars - Woodstock Preview

Here are some tasty photos of a Parlor Mike will be displaying at the show. Colorado blue spruce top with palo escrito back and sides and blue accents.

And here is the venerable Dorian Michael playing said guitar.

And a couple of clips.

Thanks to Juston for posting these pictures.

Once again, Mike has produced a real stunner! That Palo Escrito is sublime, and the swirly acrylic details are so cool, especially the one on the headstock!

For those of you lucky enough to attend the Woodstock event, you owe it to yourself to try this puppy out. Just beware, you may very well wind up adopting this little cutie and taking it home!

Mike Baranik's Retreux Parlor guitars are outstanding instruments in terms of tone, responsiveness, comfort, playability and aesthetics. I feel extremely fortunate to own one.

Let me expand on the comment quoted above.

Baranik parlours are TRUE parlor sized guitars, not some 00 being marketed as "Parlor". The lower bout is only 12.25" with an overall length of only 18" and scale length of 24.4". This means it is a FUN guitar to play! You do not have to work at playing these instruments, they almost play themselves. AND you get all that playability with the amazing tone that you can hear for yourself in the video above.

Surprising depth of tone for such a small guitar. Very surprising!! It sounds terrific!

Tasty photos of the 00 Mike displayed at Woodstock. Both guitars sold by the way. Congrats, Mike!

Wow! I had a significant guy from our little world, there to looking to treat himself to a new guitar, come up to me to say he'd found a Parlor that he loved and would I come by to check it out and offer my opinion? I had to tell him that I was way too busy and that I refuse to pick up any instrument at the show, 'cause then I'd be lost.... I asked him who's Parlor it was. He said "Mike Baranik." I said, "Buy it! How much?" When he told me the price, I plotzed, and told him, "Run! Grab it now or it will be gone!" A beauty, a gem, and with apologies to Mike Baranik, way under-priced. Bargain of the show!

Smile Baranik

Based on these gorgeous photos, I can't wait for my Baranik build to start next year! I really like the designs with the colored acrylic blocks.

I'm looking forward to seeing Mike next year at the Santa Barbara show.

Cheers.

I was off the grid for a week and hadn't seen the pictures of the new Baranik 00 until yesterday. Words fail me. Just wow. Thanks for posting!

The colors, the shapes, the proportions, everything is so fresh, so unexpected and yet so right.

I hope that whoever has purchased either one of these stunning instruments will eventually share a detailed review with all of us on the forum.

Back to the couch and bit of Aloha Koa...
