The client stopped by the shop to see his guitar progress and he was real happy with the results so far. We had to finalize some neck and inlay ideas and now I can get the neck and fingerboard completed.

The fingerboard is completed and glued to the roughed in neck. The 12th fret inlay was Jamie's only request that was firm, the 13 point Lightning bolt logo of the Grateful Dead. Dead heads are dedicated fans. The spruce shavings on the bench are left from voicing J-F-C's top and back.

What are you doing?? Don't you have a baritone to build ???

Seriously,it's looking good Fred. I must say that I envy this client to be able to visit your shop during the build. Good for him!

Now...go work on that blackwood baritone

Bob the Cocobolo fan fret will be going for sure, I have already turned down a couple people that wanted her by telling them it will be available after Memphis. High resolution photos here http://s190.photobucket.com/user/fet...?sort=6&page=1
Also in a thread on this forum http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=310190
also this video on youtube

I will probably bring one of my Bouzouki builds as they seem to attract people to my table.

That guitar sounds and looks wonderful, bet the new owner is delighted with it.

Thanks Jean, I also should post this one, I am proud of how well the armrest bevel came out. These are becoming almost mandatory on my builds.

Off topic on a beautiful guitar, is that an actual guitar stand made from a wood stump????

Jean-Francois is correct it is a chair, here is a quote from the guitars new owner

Quote:
I don't have an account on your forum. The photos I sent you were taken on a rocking chair made of Californian Red Drift Wood. Looks lumpy, but is very comfortable to sit in!
