I like to use Spanish Cedar for the kerf on the guitar. It's lightweight and the smell of it is just wonderful. It's a nice little addition to a guitar! Here I am prepping the sides to attach the back and also a picture with the back being glued on. Thanks! Mark

Tuners
I got the tuners in today that I wanted for this guitar. They are Schertler open tuners. They are lightweight, smooth and have an 18:1 ratio.
Here's a pic: Mark

Body
I've got the body closed up and am setting up for the Cocobolo binding.
Here is a picture of the back. I tried to capture some of the figure in the Honduran Mahogany: Thanks for taking a look! Mark

Binding and end graft
Here are a couple progress pictures. I'm trimming this guitar in Cocobolo and selected a piece with some interesting grain to use for the end graft:
Thanks for checking it out! Mark

New Headstock
I got this Greta all cleaned up and sent off to the finisher yesterday. Here are a couple pictures. I wetted some of them with Naptha to show color:
These two show one of my new steel string open headstocks for standard style tuners: I'll have a lot more pics when the guitar gets back. I expect we'll see a lot more figure in the mahogany. I am very proud of how this one is coming along. From the tap tone I'm getting on this I have high expectations on tone. With 13 frets and a low profile neck shape this should be a very comfortable play. Thanks for following along! Mark

I did build a number of more subtle elements into this guitar. I really like the idea of a design that holds it's best features for those who take the trouble to look closely. Mark

I call this my take on a Grand Auditorium with a bit of a modern European flavor.
Thanks, Mark
