Default Mississippi John Hurt Museum Burns Down

https://www.supertalk.fm/mississippi...t-to-be-arson/

I really hope the foundation is wrong and it wasn’t arson. Really sad even without the potential arson angle.

They might believe it but all the authorities on site (and there are many) are saying there's "no evidence of foul play". Unless and until all the evidence is in and the investigation closes I think it's best to reserve judgment as to the cause. A 200 year old sharecropper shack isn't exactly the least flammable type of structure.

You're right; it does look very flammable and probably not wired for those air conditioners...

You'd think (or I would anyway) there'd be some sort of local code governing the wiring in places open to the public.

My understanding is that arson is likely, because the power is always off unless they have a visiter.

All - there are a lot of implications here, none of which are proven. So, let’s leave it at that. There was a fire at the museum and arson is being considered as a possible cause.

Assigning blame or guilt is not an appropriate conversation for the AGF.

Yep,its a bummer but let's be real. The damage estimates probably run into hundreds of dollars I feel like it should be rebuilt bigger and better.
