Hey Brad,
This guitar looks really nice. Do you normally do a short scale on your 12 fret 000s, or what drove you to that decision? I really like/need a soundport on my guitars (high frequency hearing loss); it's a great 'monitor' feature to let me hear more of the guitar's high frequency output and I believe the port allows the sound to the player to be more similar to what the audience hears. Have you considered a smaller port? From what I've read, and experienced, the size of the port does not have to be too big to be effective.

The Tuners are Rubner brand. They are really nice, virtually no backlash!
The price point is also nice-around $130 for these although they start under $100 for simpler models and go as high as $350. All the same machines just different ornamentation. |

I use the 24.9 on this model. I use both 25.4 and 24.9 on my 14 fret triple O's It's my first port, so I have nothing to compare it too, although I am really pleased with the results so not sure if I want to go smaller, but I might. |

The interesting thing is that the plate and the gears all stay the same and they switch out the rollers for classical, steels string paddle head and steel string slot head. |
