Smile Can Anyone Help?

Hi Guys
I want to play Too Much Heaven by the Bee Gees from the One Night Only concert. This performance can be found on YouTube or the audio version from the CD.
I want to learn this for my fathers birthday.
Barry Gibb plays this in D Tuning however I want to learn it in standard tuning.
I would like the strumming pattern and tabs if you can however the chords would be fine.
I need it to sound the same as the version referred is easier to sing as the original recording is way to high.
This is very important to me as my father is a huge fan & this would mean a lot to him.
Thankyou for your time
Ben

My band recently played an anniversary party and we were requested to play "Islands in the Stream" by Bee Gees. We grinned and beared it. The song turned out great and we actually like the song. Not our normal fare but we'll keep it in our bag of tricks for when we need a light easy listening song.

Drive South do you have a YouTube channel? With a video performance of islands in the stream?

Default Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven

Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven (Live in Las Vegas, 1997 - One Night Only)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSsD-Uc24OM

Sounds like they're in Key of F? He’s playing in G (chord shapes) so like you say, he’s tuned the guitar down a whole step to do that.

You’ll stay in standard guitar tuning though, so to match his pitches vocally, you’ll be playing the usual chord shapes from the key of F: F, Bb, & C chords, with some Gmin & Amin here and there.

Am I on the right track so far?

Default Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven

F Nobody gets too much
Am7 heaven no more, It's much
Bb harder to come by I'm
F waiting in (bar of 2/4)
Gm line (two-three-four)

F Nobody gets too much
Am7 love anymore, It's as
Bb high as a mountain and
F harder to (bar of 2/4)
Gm climb (two-three-four)

Gm Oooh You and me girl got a
Gm lot of love in store and it
Gm flows through you and it flows through me and I
Gm love you so much more, than my

Fmaj7 Life… (two-three-four)
Fmaj7 let me see beyond forever
Fmaj7 Everything we are will never
Bb die… (two-three-four)

Bb Love is such a beautiful
Am thing (two-three-four)
Dm (one-two-three) oh you
Gm make my world (three-four) a
Gm summer day (three)are you
Gm just a dream (three-four) to
C Fade away (three-four)

Repeat from the top:

Nobody gets heaven
Nobody gets love

His strumming pattern in the live video is a mostly steady stream of 1/8 notes through-out, played as all down-strokes.
So if you were to count aloud ‘one-and-two-and-three-and-four-and’ and put a down-stroke on each syllable you’d pretty much have it.

Forgive me if this is way more detail than you need. I'm erring on the side of caution. g'luck with it.
