Wow. That is beautiful! Congrats! I've never played a Claxton but I hear they're amazing. Hope you enjoy it for years to come.

Kindly,
Danny

Guitars don't get any better than Ed's work. Enjoy.

Thanks for the nice comments all. I've told my wife this is the last one, but she just laughs and shakes her head. Go figure. But seriously, I've pared my "collection" down from an unreasonable number to a select few that are all very special to me in their own way. If I was forced to sell one, I can't imagine which one it would be. It wouldn't be this one though.......

Default Claxton

I'm so jealous. I wish I could afford a Claxton like that.

I love Ed's mosaic rosette. That is probably my favorite rosette right now.

I've also told my wife, "this is the last one". She always laughed, and several guitars later, I've quit saying it. Like you, I've paired my collection down to a few guitars I really like (for different reasons).

Of course, I always have room for one more if the right guitar comes along (like you selling this Claxton ).

Congratulations!!!!

John, did you have one previous to this? If so, curious to know the specs and how it compares.

Brian.....although I've played a few, this is my first Claxton. I added it to my signature line several months ago, right after sending Ed the final check. I mean....it was technically mine, right? I also wanted to comment on Ed. I've been fortunate to have commissioned several guitars over the years, and the relationship that developers between builder and customer can become quite special. Working with Ed was no exception. A quick dry wit, an easy laugh, and all round great guy. Oh, and he knows a thing or two about wood and guitars also.
