This very much sounds like Shure’s tilt at a D7 style dynamic with condenser style air and top detail.
The D7 was a gamechanger for me. I’ve used them for 10yrs or so and am always delighted with my live sound. By contrast, I have never been able to get along with the Beta 58. I find them thin and lifeless when pushed by a loud vocal (I’m a light tenor but have a naturally very loud voice), the opposite of a 58 which seems to become wider and bloom in a particular way when hit hard with high vocal SPLs. If the Nexadyne is as good as a D7, Shure will make a lot of money here. Video demos are always a bit hit and miss with vocal mics…I need to try it in a live room.
