Default Low E string buzz

Hello! Frets 1 to 7 are buzzing on my low e string. The action is a bit high. I tried adjusting the neck relief by 1/4 turn and I left it to adjust over night but it didn't help so I just returned the truss rod on it's original position. I would really like to take my guitar to a guitar tech but the problem is there is none in my area so I have to try to do something by myself. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the neck is back-bowed. If you simultaneously fret the first and 14th fret on the E string, do you have some space between the bottom of the string and the top of the 7th fret?

If not, loosening the truss rod until you do.

I was afraid of overdoing it and breaking something but it's all well now. Thanks
